Thesead is a large mining town located in Gavel. Unlike some other Gavel towns such as Olux and Gelibord, Thesead is quite well-off with resources, as it is a mining city and is surrounded by numerous trees and farms. It is the largest city of three in the Canyon of the Lost and an important respawn point for the region. Thesead is located in a valley enclosed with few entrances; no hostile mobs spawn around it.
History[]
More than thirty years ago, Thesead was a very poor settlement that was going through chaos. Earthquakes caused by the Canyon Colossus had brought havoc to the town, making the city comparable to a dystopia. A short while after, the town had started to recover, with most citizens working as coal miners to sustain the city. Eventually, an unknown villager would remake the city, defending it against the Colossus as well as making the city economically prosperous. Due to this, unlike other cities in Gavel, Thesead has enjoyed peace throughout the years.[1] However, due to a recent toxic gas leak in the coal mines, the city will soon have troubles with its coal production.[2]
Similarly to other Villager-run cities in the province, Thesead is led by a Mayor, as well as their second-in-command, the Mining Chief. However, the mayor of Thesead has been having a secret love affair with the mayor of a nearby town, Eltom. This is especially scandalous due to the fact that Eltom is a Human city: Humans are not allowed to create towns in Gavel. The only people who know about this affair are the mayors of the two cities, and their child, Ardulf. Eltom's existence itself is a secret, something that Ardulf wishes to exploit to report the city to the Gavel Government and get rich out of it.[3]

- The Mayor's Office is the largest building in Thesead, located on the upper tier of the city east of the Bank.
- The Observatory is located on a high cliff south of the Mayor's office, overlooking the entire city.
Quick Travel[]
- The Secret Passage between Thesead and Eltom is located inside the Mayor's office. The level 88 Quest The Hidden City must be completed to use it.
- The Juggler's Tavern also offers one-way travel to Thesead from Cinfras after completion of The Hidden City.

A Weapon Merchant is found at the northwest corner of the central marketplace, in the same building as the Armour Merchant.

An Item Identifier is located in the middle of the central marketplace.
Several Emerald Merchants are found inside the Bank, at the east side of the central marketplace.
A Liquid Merchant can also be found in the Bank.
A Blacksmith is found southeast of the Bank.
A Potion Merchant is found at a stall northwest of the Bank.
A Scroll Merchant is found at the north side of the central marketplace.
A Powder Master is found at the southwest corner of the central marketplace, near the main bridge.
A Siegfried Fan Merchant is located at the west side of the central marketplace. It sells the Siegfried Savior Doll.

- A Guild Banner for Thesead is located just west of the main bridge, near the western gate.

- Thesead's name is derived from the quadbrid (moderator, GM, builder, CMD) Headset_O.
- Thesead has its own alcoholic drink, boilo, which is described to be citrusy and sweet. It is tradition to have every household have a unique take on boilo.[1]
