Referick is the starting NPC for the quest The Headless Hunt. He had his soul stolen by wicked ghosts, thus he is unable to talk until the player retrieves his soul for him. When speaking with his neighbors Irahe and Otenu, they reference him being mute and pointing at a nearby castle. Once Referick's soul is returned to him, he explains that there are hundreds of other souls that were taken with his by a man by the name of Dullahan.
