Ranol is the starting NPC of the quest Cowfusion. He consults the player about the recent disappearance of his cows, and directs them to investigate the hideout of a mad scientist, Veekhat, who is occupied with experiments on cows and humans.

You can get to Ranol by following the path from Thesead to the Molten Heights entrance, then continuing on the dirt path once you hit the fiery area with the large gate. Ranol is by his pink roofed house.
