Poisoning the Pest is a medium-length level 2 quest centered around a farm north-east of Ragni.

Farmer Cevalus needs the player's help in destroying a corrupted pest plaguing his farm. The player is tasked to poison the farm in order to get rid of the farmer's corrupted father.
Stage 1[]
» Talk to Farmer Cevalus at [-749, 67, -1664]
- Farmer Cevalus: Ah, looks like a fresh recruit! Did you see my posting? Good, good.
- Farmer Cevalus: Recently, my dear step-father passed away and I buried him out back. Well, he's not there anymore... the corruption has got to his body.
- Farmer Cevalus: Yes, yes, I should have buried him more responsibly... But I didn't, and now he's turned into an unstoppable beast!
- Farmer Cevalus: We should use my fresh Corkian sprinklers to poison the pest! I have a spare [1 Crate of Rat Poison] here... But I'm too weak to get past the pest myself.
- Farmer Cevalus: That's where you come in! If you poison the water reservoir on the other side of the farm field after you enter, I'll enable the sprinklers, and he'll be done for!

- You can avoid the Corrupt Farmer's fireballs by using the hay bales as cover.

- This quest was reworked from Thieving Rodents in the 1.17 Dungeons and Discoveries Update. Cevalus explaining that he also needs to make it up to his wife could also be a reference to this quest's predecessor.
- This is the first quest that introduces the player to cutscenes.
- This quest was minorly updated in the 1.20 update to include an extra stage with mobs called Corrupted Pests.
- This quest was further updated in the 2.0.3 update to remove the extra fight and instead make you fight the Corrupt Farmer directly.
