The Dogun's Retreat is the only known remaining Dogun Village, established in the Upper Molten Heights to hide from the Dwarves, who all live in the Lower Molten Heights. While the upper heights are less hospitable for both Doguns and Dwarves than the lower heights, the other Dogun villages were destroyed in the war centuries ago and any Doguns found in the lower heights have been executed.
The village itself consists entirely of small houses carved out of stone, with a few paths in between, presumably to make it blend better with the environment to hide from the dwarves. There is an Dogun elevator, unlocked after Dwarves and Doguns Part I, right by the village, that can take players between the upper and lower heights. The village has no defenses aside from a few guards, and offers few amenities gameplay-wise. It is primarily a quest location, appearing in all four quests in the Dwarves and Doguns questline.

A Potion Merchant can be found near the Dogun Chieftain's hut.
Quest appearances[]
The player interacts with NPCs in the Dogun's retreat in all four of the Dwarves and Doguns quests, however, they don't spend that much time there compared to other areas in the questline. The player attends a Dogun meeting regarding the impending Dwarven attack in Dwarves and Doguns Part II, and travels through the battle taking place in the area in Dwarves and Doguns Part IV.
