  • Maxie: You should've picked a more private meeting place! I'm out!
  • Maxie: FREEZE!
  • You need to catch Maxie before he reaches the war scene.

Stage 28[]

» Defeat Maxie.

Dialogue:

  • Maxie: Aah, you're fast! You caught up this quick?! I have no other choice...
  • Maxie: You aren't going to stop me from getting to the battleground! You look like you were scrounged up from rust and verdigris!
  • Maxie: Surrender, or I'll use my own mechs to smash you to scrap metal!

Thunderstorm[]

There will be a thunderstorm during the fight. Be careful, if a lightning bolt hits you you will die!

Thunderstorm

When both mechs are killed:

  • Maxie: You have defeated both of my most powerful creations...
  • Maxie: I usually don't do this... but I guess I have no other option. I need to get this information to the others.

When Maxie is killed:

  • Maxie: No... I... have to tell them.
  • Maxie never made it back to the war scene. The civil war advanced faster than anyone could have anticipated.
  • The once peaceful Avos were forced to flee their home island, ravaged by machine and toxic scrap...
  • ...and the corkians, blindsided by the Factory's reactivation, were purged by metal and electricity.
  • In time, Corkus became known as the island torn apart by war. Its name would live on in infamy.

  • ???: ...
  • ???: ...you harden your heart. There is no end, you think.
  • ???: Wrong. The end is in sight.
  • ???: Your soul. It awakens to something new.
  • ???: Not dark. Not light. Not in-between. But separate.
  • ???: Power. Gain. Risk. New beginnings, from an end.
  • ???: So... may we offer you the end?
  • ???: The very center... the place deemed closest to your home. There, in the center of Wynn... You shall find the end.

Stage 29[]

» The very center... the place deemed closest to your home. There, in the center of Wynn... You shall find the end.

Spoiler alert: The hidden text contains spoilers relating to The Eighth Scenario.
Go to the Detlas barracks at 503 -1628. Turn left and enter the small door then head up the stairs. Enter the small storage room in front and slightly to the right of the stairs, triggering the eighth and final scenario.

Bak'al(Detlas,AHunter'sCalling)

Dialogue:

  • Bak'al: Detlas. What a foolish place for a central trading town, so close to the Roots.
  • Bak'al: My armies have been sent to the other cities. Their hero is inevitably busy.
  • Bak'al: I will demolish this town. Their army will fall before us.
  • Bak'al: You will destroy the guards. I will destroy the town.
  • Bak'al: Now, peon. Move.

GuardLeader DetlasGuard(Detlas,AHunter'sCalling) Bak'al(Detlas,AHunter'sCalling) Aledar(AHunter'sCalling) Tasim(AHunter'sCalling)
Dialogue:

  • Aegis: Halt! Who goes there? Stop, in the name of the Detlas army!
  • Aegis: Should you continue, you shall face the strength and courage of Admiral Aegis!
  • Guard: Admiral? It's Bak'al!
  • Aegis: We cannot back down against any foe! Chaaaarge!!
  • Guard: ...r-reinforcements! Need reinforcements!
  • Bak'al: The strongest of Detlas' army is dead. The rest are hiding in fear. Detlas will fall.
  • ???: Excuse me, I think you're forgetting someone.
  • Bak'al: Fool. Run while you have the chance.
  • ???: Detlas will not fall today. We'll be making sure of that!
  • Bak'al: We?
  • Bak'al: Self-confident idiots. I won't even bother dealing with you two.
  • Bak'al: Peon. Deal with this nonsense.

Stage 30[]

» Defeat Aledar and Tasim.

Aledar(AHunter'sCalling) Bak'al(Detlas,AHunter'sCalling) AledarClone
Dialogue:

  • Aledar: TASIM! How the hell did you manage to kill him?!
  • Bak'al: You take too much stock in your ability. My victory is inevitable.
  • Aledar: I'll tear your guts out!!
  • Bak'al: Your attention should be drawn to my peon. Now fall.
  • Aledar: This isn't over! Once your little lackey's dead I'm coming after you!!

Tasim(AHunter'sCalling) Bak'al(Detlas,AHunter'sCalling)
Dialogue:

  • Tasim: ...no sense screaming for the dead. But do you think I'm going to just give up like that?
  • Bak'al: It would be easier on yourself to.
  • Tasim: Hah. Didn't know corrupteds had a sense of humor, twisted as it might be.
  • Tasim: I won't dare die while everything here is at stake.
  • Tasim: How's this then, hm? Think your PEON can handle me at my strongest?
  • Bak'al: Yes. I do. A foolhardy show of power means nothing.
  • Bak'al: Finish this.
  • Tasim: I AM NOT GIVING UP!

  • After the two soldiers were slain in battle, Detlas crumbled.
  • It stood as a monument of wealth, prosperity and power in the Wynn province. It now stands as a corrupted wasteland.
  • The ruins of the city are a grim reminder of the power of corruption. And so...the people began to lose hope.

AHunter'sCallingStartNPC

  • ???: And so, you have reached an end.
  • ???: You wonder. It is an end... But to what... purpose. What will you gain?
  • ???: You have seen loss. Destruction. Betrayal. All ends, to some other than you. Ends that never came to pass...
  • ???: To end is a powerful thing. To find your end... You may never stop searching. You may find your end in but a day's time.
  • ???: But here... you will gain the power to bring an end. To be brought yours.

Stage 31[]

» Return to the entity.

A tunnel will then appear, progressively darkening as you fall through. At the end of the tunnel several eyes will surround you.

AHunter'sCallingStartNPC

  • ???: However. Though the change is irrevocable...
  • ???: The power to bring an end. It is a choice. And that... Whether you will use that power, we cannot tell you.
  • ???: You must deign to take that choice.
  • ???: We may offer you not one more end.
  • ???: You must find your final end yourself. We will remain... And offer others the same. And so...
  • ???: We two, here... end.
Hunted Gamemode
Bring and be brought an end.

Tips[]

  • Bring emeralds (or you will have to kill mobs for some) for the Olux stage. A full stack should be sufficient.
  • It is recommended that you bring teleport scrolls for Ragni, Almuj, Nesaak, Troms, Olux, Rodoroc, Corkus, and Detlas in order to save travel time.
    • You'll be teleported back to the quest NPC after every sequence, so you don't need to bring Lutho scrolls.
  • In the event that an NPC won't spawn during any point of the stage, use /class, /hub, and/or relog.
  • It is recommended that you bring consumable buffs to the Corkus and Detlas parts, as the bosses are difficult.
  • To access the iron golem factory in scenario 5, you must first complete until stage 4 of An Iron Heart Part II.
  • To access the Rodoroc Slums for scenario 6, you must first complete until stage 8 of Dwarves and Doguns Part II.
  • In scenario 8, Aledar does more damage, and Tasim has more health and elemental defence. If you kill Tasim first, Aledar becomes much stronger, and if you kill Aledar first, Tasim becomes much healthier. Therefore: If your build is a DPS build, kill Aledar first. But if your build is a tank build, kill Tasim first.

Trivia[]

  • The quest gives the player an opportunity to see the world if they fought for the wrong side.
  • The timeframe of each portion of the quest is different. For instance, in stage 1, Bak'al mentions fighting Bob, which suggests this stage is in the past. When the player fights Theorick, Nesaak has not been frozen, placing this portion in the far past. Conversely, the Corkus section appears to take place after the events of The Envoy Part II, placing this section in the present or the future.
  • In the Corkus section of the quest, the name of the mech you play as (PL-4Y) references the fact that you are the player.
  • The Hunted Gamemode is subtitled, Bring and be brought an end.
