Scribing is one of the eight Crafting Professions. It involves using refined Oil and Paper along with certain Crafting Ingredients to craft Scrolls. Scribing is performed at any of the Scribing Stations throughout the world.

Crafting

Scrolls are consumable items that can heal players' health or provide additional effects. They have average durations but affect every player in a 9.5 block radius.

Without Crafting Ingredients, crafting scrolls will result in a basic Scroll that lasts 3 seconds, has 3 charges, and heals the player and nearby players for a slightly below-average amount. With ingredients, Scrolls have a much longer duration, ranging from 6 minutes at level 1 to 16 minutes at level 105. They no longer heal, but rather grant the player and nearby players special effects. Their number of charges varies depending on their level, but can also be affected by certain ingredients.

Material Tiers

Using higher-tier materials will increase the amount of health restored by the blank scrolls or duration on scrolls which use ingredients.

(Note: It does not matter which material is what tier: Tier 2 oil and Tier 1 paper will have the same effect as Tier 1 oil and Tier 2 paper.)
