The land of Nesaak was not always frozen. It was adopted by the bitter Twain son, Theorick, who forged the land in his own image. Though never truly evil, Theoricks enemies lingered as souls long enough to take possession of his body upon death, and wielded his immense icy powers.

Overview

This is the corrupted version of the Ice Barrows Dungeon. It is mechanically identical but has a "corrupted" design, mobs of a higher level and better rewards. It can be accessed by entering its portal at The Forgery.

A list of the items you're able to purchase with the rewards from this Dungeon can be found on the Dungeon Merchant page.

Guide

Phase 1

  • Ghostly Voice: I told you it would fail.
  • Ghostly Voice: Your noble deeds have allowed the darkness to take over my mind.

The first phase requires you to collect 10 tokens by killing the Lv. 92 Freezing Guards to open the door to the next phase. Freezing Guards can be found at different points in the tunnels.

Phase 2

The second phase is a parkour course utilizing slippery ice platforms. At the end of the course will be the door to the next phase and the button to open it, guarded by a Lv. 93 Frozen Soldier. Kill it and press the button to open the door to the next phase.

Phase 3

The third phase requires you to collect 32 tokens by killing the Lv. 92 Poltergiceds to open the door to the next phase. Since the Poltergiced spawn rapidly in the room, it is best to use powerful crowd-control abilities.

Phase 4

The fourth phase is comprised of two mazes, both of which are mechanically identical: you walk on the invisible path by making use of the floating eyeballs placed at each corner to determine when to change direction. If you are on the path, an ice block will hold you up; otherwise, you fall off and have to start over. The second maze is more difficult however, as the path is longer and only half the corners are marked with floating eyeballs.

Phase 5

The fifth phase requires you to run through a large, long tunnel filled with enemies and survive. Your way through the tunnel will be blocked three times by an ice wall, during which you have to wait out a timer and fight off the enemies you're stuck with for the ice wall to disappear. At the end of the tunnel will be your third and last ice wall, after which there will be a hole you have to jump in to advance to the next phase.

With either a high enough-leveled horse or a movement spell that you can cast rapidly (e.g. Mage/Dark Wizard's Teleport/Blink), it is possible to bypass all three ice walls entirely through to the hole to the next phase.

Phase 6

  • Ghostly Voice: It all seems clear to me now.. The struggle for life... It's futile. There need only be peaceful darkness.
  • Ghostly Voice: Once my transformation is complete I shall begin to cleanse the world of vile mortality.

The sixth phase requires you to defeat three minibosses. The central hopper is located in front of you when you land on the ground from the fall, and three other hoppers are located near the walls of the circular area. The enemies that spawn drop yellow tokens which you have to drop into the hoppers near the walls to activate them A spawn the minibosses (Lv. 94 Fanatical Ice Mage, Lv. 94 Frostbitten Wight, Lv. 99 Shade of Theorick). Killing a miniboss will drop 1 blue token, and killing all three will give you the 3 blue tokens necessary to activate the central hopper. Upon activation, a path will appear to the penultimate room, which will allow for a short period of respite before the final boss.

Boss Phase

  • Ghostly Voice: I will not let you stop me!

Trivia

  • The entrance to this dungeon has a considerably larger area around it that can be explored, compared to the other corrupted dungeons' entrances.
  • The area around the dungeon entrance is the least corrupted out of all the corrupted dungeons, due to the events explained in Fate of the Fallen.
  • The entrance to Bob's Tomb can be accessed, however it is not possible to open it.
