Abandoned Excavations is a Secret Discovery in the Llevigar Plains. It gives information regarding the problems that Villagers have faced in mining emeralds, and also gives some insight on their motives to explore the Ocean.

- Enter the cave and right-click the shovel at the end to obtain it.

- Dig up the gravel blocking the entrance to the discovery by right-clicking it with the shovel.

- The journal is very torn and dusty, but you can still read some of it...
- Those Llevigar officials just don't get it. There are NO more emeralds.
- In the last 2 weeks we've only found one small vein.
- I may consider moving back to Cinfras for a while, at least there are some farming jobs over there.
